The Stanislaus Sworn Deputies Association spent thousands of dollars to get back in the Sheriff's good graces but is was all squandered and went for naught when the BoS accepted the Sheriff's cuts in positions .

We all remember that the SSDA (Stanislaus Sworn Deputies Association) voted against incumbent Adam Christianson when he was running for re-election and at the same time the jailers union was supporting his bid.Now at a time when Adam played a high stakes game of Texas Hold em raising the ante by going "all in" albeit with the unions money against with the County Board of Supervisors and lost, the SSDA is paying the price.

All of those radio ads and papering the sides of Buses is very expensive but the SSDA's leadership believed it was necessary after Adam made a call to them suggesting they support him and his efforts trying to get the BoS to find more money for the Sheriff's Department no matter where it had to come from.

After all the SSDA was the only union not to agree to cutting future retirement calculations (from tier five to tier two) for new hires whenever they might occur.

So maybe they figured in for a penny, in for a pound.Did they buy Adam's good graces? Most say it can only be rented.

One thing for sure, they emptied the union's coffers.
