Last night Joe Muratore revived one of his campaign platforms from his run for the city council and called for the city to put cameras in city parks. Is this the most sensible way to spend city resources?
Councilman Muratore apparently believes that we should have cameras invading our lives regularly.
We're reminded of a comment from an eminent author who said "when living life in a fishbowl it's better to be a fish watcher."
Missing last night were Frank Ploof and Darryl Fair who were on the agenda to make a report to the BRC.
Was Pastor Darryl Fair missing because of his involvement in the SCAP scandal? After all in a letter of support he allegedly wrote and signed, he forgot how to spell his own name and is the head of the SCAP Board.
This is one of the organizations Pastor Fair is hoping will write him a grant to fund a day facility for the homeless he has selected, that resides along the side of a public park here in Modesto.
Another point of interest watchers were treated to was the claim the homeless count has decreased since 2009. Taking a page from his personal agenda during a previous meeting with a few people from the committee with Darrel Fair – then a round table with 8 or 9 homeless people. A big concern is the need for a “safe house” where the homeless won’t be taken advantage of – food stamps/property stolen.
What? You say Pastor Fair points out an alleged need for the very same thing he aspires to have handed to him?
And they say no one on this committee has an agenda.
Modesto politicians and their appointees, sometimes you can't believe a word they say.
