City fees: Up to 45% cut possible

Changes aim to aid commercial and home development

By Ken Carlson - kcarlson@modbee.com

A city task force is recommending a 22 percent reduction in developer fees for new homes and up to 45 percent for commercial pro-jects.Some of the biggest reductions would be for capital facility fees, which generate more than 50 percent of development fee revenue for the city.

Those fees pay for parks, roads, police and fire stations, and air quality improvement projects. After the recession stalled Modesto's growth, City Council members appointed the nine-member task force in November 2009 to study revisions to the one-time fees charged to new development.

The panel was composed of four residents-at-large, a resident alternate and four representatives from the real estate, manufacturing and building industries.Read more: http://www.modbee.com/2011/02/27/1576285/city-feesup-to-45-cut-possible.html#storylink=omni_popular#ixzz1FHD0oGyF

Here's the list of people on the Fee Task force.Remember these names as they will cost the residents of Modesto Millions of dollars in the long run. Who nominated the citizens at large you ask?
Our developer riddled city council that's who. Also remember that the city council just gave a developer a $480,000.00 break and will be charging at BELOW our costs for sewer hook-ups.

Isn't Zoslocki the former HEAD of the BIA? And isn't he on its Board of Directors? And didn't they just lose their second consecutive lawsuit trying to save themselves money at the expense of the Citizens of Stanislaus County?

Didn't they just cost the County over a Million dollars in legal fees?

Yes they did.
