Most of us recently read in the Bee what the Chief and City Manager wanted us to hear but how close to reality does their information come?
We are told that Officer Todd Parsons has been given a 30 day suspension but Chief Harden reduced it to 20 days and Parsons only has to take it 2 days a month! Not much of a hardship there.Of course it doesn't hurt that Parsons is a K-9 officer and favorite of Captain Balentine and Lt. Cloward. He was also allowed to keep his K-9 even though supervisors recommended they include the K-9 issue in discipline.
Some of our other recent problems are:Officer Matt Spurlock – felony spousal charges. Balentine saw this coming and did nothing to protect Matt’s wife.
Officer Dave Brown – felony charges pending. A very big cover up is going on right now. He is another Balentine favorite so charges are being covered up.
Officer Michael Armillias – lied to a supervisor. Chief Harden refused to terminate him even though he admitted he lied to 2 supervisors.
Captain Balentine’s friend.
Officer Tony Trock – felony charges. Balentine's protecting others involved in this sex and drug mess.
These have all occurred over the past 6 months. More arrests pending. Will Balentine and Harden cover them up as well?
The connection between these serious criminal cases is Captain Balentine is buddies with most of these guys and Chief Harden is not holding Captain Balentine accountable.These are exsurpt from the latest letter from a long time MPD employee.

Now Mr. Nyhoff, you received this information 10 days ago but did you remain quiet and pretend that this investigator is really going to get to the truth in what is going on at the MPD?If you're going to spend $50,000 dollars of the taxpayers money at least you can give the investigator all the information you have.
To the Modesto City Council, you've wittnessed too many of the statements you've read from the MPD insider come true to have doubts any longer.
Insist that Bob Aaronson investigate ALL of the allegations and not just a fewThe people on your campaign trail will be asking questions, will you have accurate answers?
