MPD Officer With Blood Alcohol 2 1/2 times the Legal Limit is Working from Home on the Taxpayers Dime

MPD Officer Todd Joseph Parsons' blood alcohol content was 0.20 percent, 2½ times the level at which a driver is considered under the influence, and has been charged with the lowest DUI charges possible according to the criminal complaint.

Parsons, 42, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and a Vehicle Code infraction of having an open container of alcohol in his car. What we are hearing from inside the MPD is Parsons had been out drinking and partying with several other cops (including the Mayor's nephew) right before the crash.

He had an ice chest full of leftover beer in the front seat with him. Now he's bragging to his buddies that he's being allowed to work at home on a cold case to avoid using his sick leave.

This Christmas present was given to him by his friend Sgt Kathleen Blom.Keep in mind that he can't walk and that his jaw is wired shut and that he's never worked as a detective.

Another tax payer rip off brought to you by MPD.The so-called management here has no shame.

Call Mike Harden at 652-1806 and tell him this nonsense has to end.
