Is it seed money to help neighborhood associations or are they setting up political action committees?

You honestly have to wonder what is going on. After all, at a recent College area meeting didn't Brad Hawn announce his candidacy for Mayor?

Wasn't Joe Muratore selected not by a vote of the association but by its president to run for Councilman?

Why should these "associations" be treated any different than other PACS?

Why should they be given public money when there intent is to elect people who will service their needs?

Already at least one councilman is having second thoughts.

Dave Geer recently stated he wasn't sure this was a proper policy to follow.

We understand why they were formed but we don't agree at all with funneling public money to them regardless of the pretext.
