By Emerson Drake
12/7/10

At the Board of Supervisor's meeting Tuesday, the Board voted 4-1 to approve the staff's recommendations of the Sheriff's proposal with the exception of number five.

1 Approve the reduction in force of 2 full time positions and the deletion of two vacant funded positions in the Sheriff's department budget.

2.Amend the salary and position allocation resolution.

3.Amend the Salary and position allocation to reflect the 7 reductions-in-force approved back on
November ,2,2010.

4.Revise the Sheriff's lobby hours to Monday through Thursday 8:00AM to 3:00PM with 24 hour phone service available.

5.Allow the Sheriff to carry over 100% of his net county cost savings (The county presently allows only 75% of saved monies to be carried over and that's the way it will continue.)

Supervisor O'Brien was the only hold out stating the Sheriff was guilty of "Premature evaluations" and felt Christianson had rushed to judgement.
