In a three to two vote today the Bio-mass plant was dealt a severe blow when Cecil Hendsley, John Kidd, and Paul Warda voted not to approve the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project.
It means back to the drawing board for Dr. Ensley and his co-horts.
When the vote was taken thinking the motion was approved the room demanded a rollcall vote, but when it was announced that the motion, made by Tom Van Groningen and seconded by Glenn Wild was defeated the room erupted in applause and cheers!At least for now the potential polluter will be forced to undergo a complete EIR which many politicos suggest it won't survive.
Three cheers for the many people who stood up and spoke against the project.
And three cheers for the MID Board members who stood their ground and heard the will of the people
